Amorim names XI for Athletic Club semi-final

Ruben Amorim has selected his Manchester United side for the Europa League semi-final second leg against Athletic Club at Old Trafford.

The Reds carry a 3-0 lead into the tie and are bidding to clinch a repeat trip to Bilbao, following the excellent victory at San Mames last Thursday.

The boss has decided to pick an unchanged side from the first leg, trusting those who managed to gain this valuable advantage.

Matthijs de Ligt misses out after sustaining an injury in the defeat to Brentford at the weekend, but will hopefully reappear before the campaign is out.

The Dutchman’s absence means there are only 11 substitutes this time around, after 12 in Spain, with Amad, again, a powerful weapon to come off the bench at some point.

As was already confirmed, the visitors are without the Williams brothers, Inaki and Nico.

United: Onana; Lindelof, Maguire, Yoro; Mazraoui, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dorgu; Garnacho, Fernandes (c); Hojlund.
