A notable talking point to emerge from Sunday’s Premier League match at Brentford was the personal statistics of Alejandro Garnacho this season.
The Argentina international now has double figures in both goals and assists in all competitions in the current campaign.

But how many United players in recent times have achieved the same feat?
With the help of Transfermarkt.co.uk data, we’ve looked back over the past 10 seasons to see which Reds have netted at least 10 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions in a single campaign…

Alejandro is the second Red to reach the mark this term after, unsurprisingly, our captain, who has 19 goals and 18 assists to his name in what has been another stellar personal season.
As we reported recently, our Portuguese magnifico has actually achieved this record now in each of his five full seasons at Old Trafford.
Not only that, even before he arrived at United, the midfielder has double digits for both goals and assists in every campaign since 2017/18 – stretching back to his time at Sporting.
MARCUS RASHFORD
The forward, currently on loan at Aston Villa, has registered double figures for goals and assists on three occasions during his United career.
In 2019/20, the England international was a scorer on 22 occasions alongside setting up 12 strikes for his team-mates across all competitions.
He followed that up the season after with 21 goals and 18 assists, but his best campaign in a United shirt came in 2023/24 when Rashy topped our scoring charts with an impressive 30 goals and 12 assists.

ANTHONY MARTIAL
The Frenchman managed it twice during his nine-year stint in M16. The first occasion was in his debut season, which yielded 18 goals and he laid on 10 more for his colleagues.
The 2019/20 was also a prolific campaign for the forward, who was on target 23 times and registered 12 assists too.
PAUL POGBA
Tony’s compatriot enjoyed a fine campaign in 2018/19 under Jose Mourinho as the midfielder scored 16 goals and notched 11 assists in all competitions.
The French duo both recorded double digits for goals and assists in a single season while at United.
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC
The big Swede was renowned for his expert finishing which he showed in abundance throughout his maiden campaign at the Theatre of Dreams, scoring 28 goals.
However, he was also equally adept at setting up his team-mates, recording 10 assists in all competitions as well in 2016/17.
JUAN MATA
The silky Spaniard had a particularly effective season in 2015/16 when he reached double figures for goals and assists with 10 of each – including, most notably, netting the equaliser in our Emirates FA Cup final success over Crystal Palace at Wembley.
