Manchester United are quickly back in Premier League action, taking on Brentford at the weekend.

Fresh from the trip to Bilbao in the Europa League, and the outstanding 3-0 first-leg victory, Ruben Amorim’s side have a Sunday 14:00 BST kick-off in the capital, at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The boss took a 26-man squad to the semi-final, with a view to training in the Basque Country and beginning preparations for this latest domestic assignment.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the match…

HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW

The battle with the Bees is not being broadcast live on TV in the UK, with Sky Sports showing Brighton & Hove Albion versus Newcastle United at 14:00 BST.

Our exclusive build-up on MUTV is under way from 12:55 BST with ex-players Luke Chadwick, Sammy McIlroy, David May and Ben Thornley due to provide expert analysis.

During the game, the United App is perfect for all the updates.

We provide live radio commentary, insight and Opta-fed stats to keep you across what is happening. Highlights will be available across our platforms from two hours after the final whistle.

TEAM NEWS

Amad and Matthijs de Ligt came off the bench at San Mames to make their first appearances after injury lay-offs.

Jonny Evans was not on the bench, as he is being carefully managed, while Amorim has suggested he will make changes with the second leg against Athletic Club to come on Thursday.

Youngsters Harry Amass, Tyler Fredricson, Jaydan Kamason, Sekou Kone, Bendito Mantato and Chido Obi could all be in the squad, judging by their inclusion earlier in the week.

As for the hosts, they also played on Thursday night, and earned a superb 2-0 away win at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The Bees did not seem to suffer any additional issues as, although Keane Lewis-Potter was withdrawn at half-time, this was potentially because he was a little fortunate to escape a second yellow card.

Fabio Carvalho, Josh Dasilva, Aaron Hickey, Vitaly Janelt and Igor Thiago have been injured and may miss out.

FORM GUIDE

United remain unbeaten in Europe this season but our domestic form has taken a hit, perhaps understandably, as we focus on trying to win a trophy and earn a spot in next term’s Champions League.

The Reds have gone five Premier League games without a win since the last international break, with our most recent win in the competition being the 3-0 victory on the road at Leicester City in mid-March.

Brentford, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last four outings, since a narrow 2-1 reverse at Newcastle United.

Thomas Frank’s men have drawn with Chelsea and Arsenal, before beating Brighton and Forest.

DID YOU KNOW?

The Reds have only lost one of our last 12 meetings with the Bees in all competitions, winning nine of those games, with that being the 4-0 reverse in the capital in August 2022.

Ten of our 12 Premier League goals against the south-west Londoners have been scored in the second half of games, with three of the last five coming after the 90th minute, including Mason Mount’s strike in our last visit to the Gtech Community Stadium.
