Drawn at home to the Black Cats, Marc Skinner’s side will hope to reach the final four as our quest to retain the trophy continues.

United have enjoyed a superb campaign on all fronts, so far in 2024/25, and secured a professional 2-0 win over Leicester City in the WSL on Sunday.

With anticipation continuing to build, scroll down for all the information you need ahead of Saturday’s cup showdown at Leigh Sports Village..

OUR CUP STORY SO FARThe Reds have been in fine form and began our defence of the trophy with a stunning 7-0 win over West Bromwich Albion back in January.

Skinner’s side then followed that success with another big scoreline, beating Wolves 6-0 in Telford as we reached the last eight.

Next up are the Wearsiders, who have beaten Huddersfield Town, Exeter City and Portsmouth to reach this stage of the competition, scoring 13 goals along the way.

WHICH UNITED PLAYERS COULD SHINE?Celin Bizet remains as our top scorer in the FA Cup this season so far, having netted a wonderful hat-trick off the bench against West Brom.

Ella Toone, Rachel Williams and teenager Mared Griffiths have two strikes to their names.

It is also worth noting the Reds are yet to concede a goal in the competition and preserving that record could prove important in our quest for silverware this term.

Saturday
