United star could be set to follow Antony through the door at Real Betis this January – report

Real Betis are reportedly keen on signing Tyrell Malacia on loan from Manchester United before the February 3 deadline next week.

Malacia, 25, has found game time hard to come by since making his return from serious injury in November last year.

It seems that he will find it even harder to find minutes in United’s first team as they are on the verge of signing Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu.

In addition, Luke Shaw is also said to be close to making a return to the first team after his latest injury setback.

Juventus and Como have previously been linked with a move for the Dutch international with Malacia recently reveaing he is “sharp and ready” to play football after his long-term lay off.

And now the Daily Mail report that another club is keen to secure his services on loan before next Monday.

“Antony could soon find himself with a touch of familiarity at Real Betis as the Spanish side are interested in taking Tyrell Malacia on loan.”

“The La Liga club are one of multiple clubs interested in taking on the full-back” before next Monday’s deadline.

Fabrizio Romano has already claimed that the player is a concrete option to leave the club this winter.

What’s more, having recently discussed a loan deal for Antony, United will have very clear channels of communication with La Liga side and are likely to have a strong relationship.

If Malacia is ever to make a full recovery from his terrible knee injury, he will need to prove he can play regularly at a high level and Betis could prove to be a great opportunity to do just that.

He has played just 271 minutes this season in seven appearances for the first team.
