Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko netted a sensational double to earn his side a point against Burnley at Turf Moor. United held to draw Interim head coach Darren Fletcher made just one change to the starting XI, restoring Bruno Fernandes to the team in place of Leny Yoro. United started as the much better side in their changed formation, but it was the hosts who took the lead when Ayden Heaven turned into his own net after a cross from Bashir Humphreys. Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu came close to drawing United level but both their attempts were cleared off the line. Lisandro Martinez thought he had scored from a set-piece routine but his goal was ruled out after he was harshly judged to have fouled Kyle Walker. United came out firing after the interval and needed just five minutes to restore parity. The equaliser was a moment of real quality, as Bruno Fernandes provided an inch-perfect assist for Sesko, who finished his intelligent run with a finish into the bottom corner. Sesko wasn’t finished there. He soon put United ahead 2-1 with another well-taken goal, darting to the near post to convert Dorgu’s driven cross. Unfortunately for United, they could not hold on for all three points in yet another game. Jaidon Anthony came on from the bench to curl in a stunning effort. Shea Lacey almost scored a sensational winner for the Red Devils when he stung the bar from distance. Eventually, both teams had to settle for a share of the spoils. Sesko’s performance While Sesko’s highlight was his two strikes, he contributed far more than that against the Clarets. During the time he was on the pitch, the Slovenian won 78% of the aerial duels he delved into. He touched the ball 39 times. The summer signing managed an astonishing eight shots, seven of which were on target and required Martin Dubravka to intervene.
