Manchester United supporters are raving about the latest disappointing performance from Alejandro Garnacho, especially following his latest statement.
The Argentine winger became the darling of the MUFC supporters after making his big breakthrough under Erik ten Hag.
However, Ruben Amorim wasn’t a fan of Garnacho’s demeanour, so the youngster was put on the transfer list last summer, before sealing a transfer to Chelsea in August on a deal worth £40 million. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old hasn’t been able to find his footing at Enzo Maresca’s court.
On Saturday, the Italian manager gave Garnacho another opportunity in the Premier League contest against Nottingham Forest, but the player had another stinker and was hooked off at halftime. Statman Dave highlighted the miserable numbers behind the winger’s performance

Alejandro Garnacho fails to deliver for Chelsea
While the Blues went on to win the contest by three unanswered goals thanks to Reece James’ heroics, Man Utd fans were primarily occupied with Garnacho’s display, with many expressing their delight with his shortcomings, especially following the recent comments he made.
“The game against Brighton, we should win that game. And the game at United, if we play 11 against 11, I feel we would be on top,” said the Argentina international in an interview published on the official Chelsea website.
This was a reference to Chelsea’s 1-2 loss to Man Utd at Old Trafford last month. The West Londoners conceded twice in the first half following Robert Sanchez’s early dismissal.

Man United fans enjoying Garnacho’s misfortunes at Chelsea
Following the young player’s exit, Man Utd fans raved about his failures on social media.
“Garnacho hooked at halftime. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a former United player to fail more than him,” posted one MUFC supporter on X, summing up the mood of a large section in the fanbase.
Garnacho’s Chelsea stats | Appearances | Minutes | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 3 | 131 | 0 | 0 |
Champions League | 2 | 83 | 0 | 0 |
Carabao Cup | 1 | 59 | 0 | 0 |
While the reaction of United supporters may have been excessive, the player has been burning bridges with his ill-advised comments. The fans also recall Garnacho’s questionable behaviour that convinced Amorim to drop him from his plans.
