Will Ferrell hugs Roy Keane as he explains where he first met Man United icon

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane shared a friendly embrace with Will Ferrell in the build-up to the Reds’ trip to Leeds on Sunday. Keane, who was at the Etihad on Sunday previewing United’s trip to Elland Road and Manchester City’s game against Aston Villa, welcomed Ferrell onto the Sky Sports outdoor studio, with the famous actor taking some time to enjoy a Premier League game after being spotted at Wrexham on Saturday. The LAFC owner told viewers that he and Keane had met previously: “Roy and I had the pleasure of playing in Soccer Aid.” ALSO READ: United have learnt £85m lesson ahead of possible Kane pursuit And when asked about his trip across the Atlantic, the American said: “I’m on a recruiting trip for LAFC, I’m seeing if [Man City] measure up to the MLS. I don’t really have a side over here, I just enjoy following all the storylines, it’s obviously a very good league.” Ferrell had gone viral on Twitter on Saturday after being spotted in a local Wrexham pub, The Turf, ahead of the National League side’s 3-1 win against Wealdstone. The 55-year-old has previously watched the Welsh outfit at Wembley and is friends with Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. He was back across the border and at the Etihad to view City’s crucial game against an in-form Aston Villa. Pep Guardiola’s side have the chance to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal to two points before the pair meet on Wednesday. The meeting was the first game for the Blues since news of the Premier League’s allegation of over 100 financial breaches.
