West Ham United look set to make another attempt to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.
Lingard, 28, scored nine goals in 16 appearances during a loan spell at the London Stadium last season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Saturday that Lingard was “going to play a big part” in United’s season, but Stuart Pearce, West Ham’s assistant manager, said yesterday that they wanted to sign the attacking midfielder.
