“We have agreed everything”: Club confirms they’ve struck deal with United over loan move for “freakish” player – report

Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic has confirmed when Toby Collyer will seal his switch, with an agreement now in place with Manchester United over a loan for the remainder of the season. Collyer set for Hull move Collyer is set to embark on another Championship loan following a frustrating spell with West Bromwich Albion. He joined West Brom during the summer transfer window, but his time at the Hawthorns was disrupted by recurring injuries that prevented him from nailing down a consistent run of games and performances. The Englishman managed 12 appearances for West Brom, but only three were starts. He has been sidelined since November, when he sustained a setback during a meeting with Birmingham City. He returned to United on New Year’s Day after the club opted to recall him. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United’s preference was to sanction another loan exit for Collyer. Hull emerged as a contender to take Collyer on loan. Jakirovic revealed that he was willing to work with the 22-year-old, having held positive talks with his representatives. Now, Jakirovic has seemingly announced that Hull have agreed a deal with United and Collyer is set to complete his transfer today. Collyer update The Tigers’ boss told reporters [as quoted by The Mirror], “With Toby Collyer we are waiting but I think we have a green light from Man United and I think he will join us on Monday.” “This is what I know but we have agreed everything with Man United.” “He will have a medical this weekend. He is now ready for training.” Collyer, described as “freakish” for his impressive running stats, made his debut for United in August 2024 and made 13 appearances last term, as the club finished in 15th place and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, United are next in action on Sunday when they face Arsenal at the Emirates.
