The European Commission has been criticized for the length of time it has taken to provide vaccines. A plan to that effect was approved in June last year. Vaccines were agreed on behalf of EU member states.
Vaccines have been delayed by manufacturers, including Oxford-AstraZeneca and Pfizer-BioNTech.
