Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has got his preparations for the new season underway. United career After winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 and breaking into the England squad, Mount moved to Manchester United in 2023. Unfortunately, it has not been the easiest of times for Mount. When he has played, he has looked a solid, intelligent player, but Mount’s biggest issue has been staying on the pitch. In three seasons, he has played just 72 matches for the club and scored only seven goals. Pre-season preparations Manchester United are set to begin their pre-season preparations on 9th July at Carrington, but some of the players have been putting in work early. Leny Yoro has already been pictured working hard, and Mason Mount has published videos on Instagram of himself getting ready for the new season. Mount is working with Dr Tom King, a performance coach who previously worked as Liverpool’s first-team fitness coach. King is the owner of King Performance Ideology and also holds a PhD in Applied Sports Science. The specialist has worked with a number of elite-level athletes. Mount can be seen in the videos below going through his paces with the performance specialist in Spain. There is a mixture of gym work and conditioning, as well as videos of Mount perfecting his shooting and passing techniques. The 27-year-old will be hoping this is the season when he can finally stay fit and show his true worth to the Manchester United side. Mount has already spoken about how he is prepared to play in different positions for Michael Carrick and Manchester United, and the team will need that flexibility as they are set to embark on a gruelling schedule in four separate competitions, including the Champions League.
