Radek Vitek The Czech goalkeeper has once again had a very successful loan spell. He once again played an important role in Bristol City’s 2-2 draw with promotion-chasing Southampton. Vitek made two saves in the match, with one from a shot inside the area. There was nothing he could do for the Saints’ opener, when Cyle Larin scored from close range. Vitek also stood little chance for the second, as Ross Stewart tucked away a header from inside the six-yard box. He did make a vital stop in the closing minutes from Shea Charles to keep the scores level with a fine reaction stop. The goalkeeper also did well at the end under immense pressure to come and punch the ball clear in a crowded penalty area after the ball was swung into the box. He also made two clearances and won his only aerial duel in the match. The Robins will travel to Birmingham City this Saturday in their penultimate fixture of the season.
