Video: United loanee in raptures after guiding side to historic final with out-of-this-world performance

Manchester United’s Antony put in a stunning performance as Real Betis drew 2-2 away from home against Fiorentina to book their place in the Conference League final.

It is the first time that los verdiblancos have ever made it into a European final of any kind.

Fresh from scoring a world-class winner against Espanyol at the weekend, the Brazilian continued last night as he left off, notching the opening goal in Florence.

He struck a thunderous free kick from distance that clipped the inside of the post, giving David de Gea no chance in goal.

The Brazil international was not done yet though as in extra-time he turned provider, squaring the ball for Abde Ezzalzouli to turn home in the 97th minute.

He played the entire 120 minutes and was given a highly impressive rating of 9.1 on Sofascore.

Antony completed 88% of his passes and three of them were classified as key ones.

The Brazilian was a constant threat on De Gea’s goal as he had six shots in total. He also carried a threat on the wing, completing three dribble attempts.

He was highly combative, winning seven ground duels on the night.

Before the game, Antony claimed he was enjoying the best moment of his career at Betis and on current form, it is hard to argue against that.

After the match, he posted a video of himself emotionally celebrating with the travelling Betis fans and his teammates after a titanic effort.

United’s Jadon Sancho will take on his teammate Antony in the final as Chelsea beat Djurgarden 1-0 to seal their spot in Poland.

He played 70 minutes of the match and completed 77% of his passes.

The England international won four ground duels and completed two out of his three dribble attempts.

Sancho was quite ineffective in attack though, failing to have any shots on goal during the contest.

Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
