Ethan Galbraith has picked up his first assist for Doncaster Rovers, where he’s spending the season on loan.
I think it’s fair to say the fountain of youth is overflowing at Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff (at all levels), have signed some absolute gems for the future, while the homegrown talent continues to shine.
Sadly, there are not enough minutes to go around to keep everyone happy. Thus, some players have to head out on loan. Amongst them is young Ethan Galbraith – a highly regarded midfielder who has an incredibly bright future.
The young man will spend this year at Doncaster Rovers in League One as he continues to improve and develop. Sadly, the Northern Irishman was on the losing side this weekend – though he had an excellent game from a personal standpoint.
The 20-year-old United loanee would register his first assist for his new club, with a brilliant through pass that Jordy Hiwula would tuck home.
Check out the ball here:
Galbraith is undoubtedly one player Solskjaer has earmarked for the future. You can see from that pass alone that he possesses something the likes of Fred cannot offer.
However, the problem for Galbraith is that Doncaster aren’t a very good team. They’re currently dead-last in the League One table, meaning it’s going to be pretty hard for the midfielder to make a positive impression week-in-week-out.
Galbraith is obviously young enough to use this as a learning curve, though playing in this team for a whole season cannot be good for his confidence as an individual.
All the midfielder can do is work hard, continue to look good on a personal level and come back to Old Trafford next summer with a point to prove. For me, this boy is one of many talented youngsters who deserve to be heavily involved in our pre-season tour 2022.
Nice work, Ethan!
