Video: 1 goal, 100% dribble success: United youngster grabs huge opportunity in vital cup win

Manchester United’s loanees impressed once again in the Football League yesterday.

Click here to follow where all of United’s loanees are in action this season.

Jack Moorhouse

The Irish midfielder bagged his first ever senior goal in Leyton Orient’s 3-1 win over Peterborough United in the Vertu Trophy.

He played 63 minutes of action and scored a wonderful goal beating a couple of players in midfield before slotting the ball into the bottom right hand corner.

Moorhouse completed 86% of his passes and was successful in all three of his dribble attempts, including during his goal.

The youngster was also combative in midfield, winning four out of his ground duels during the encounter.

Ethan Ennis

The United starlet only arrived at Fleetwood Town a couple of days ago but that did not stop him scoring on debut in their shootout win over Accrington Stanley.

He fired in from close range when the Stanley keeper could only parry his effort directly into his path.

Ennis was impressive in possession, completing 92% of his passes, two of which were considered key passes.

The 20-year-old also completed two out of his four cross attempts. He was unfortunate to miss a penalty in the shootout but it did not matter in the end as his team ran out 5-4 winners in the shootout.

Sonny Aljofree

The young defender played 68 minutes in Notts County’s 0-3 defeat to Lincoln City.

He made four clearances and blocked three shots in a decent individual performance.

Aljofree also managed to clear one shot off the line but it could not spur his team on to get a result.

The defender was uncharacteristically poor in contesting for the ball, winning just two out of five aerial battles and failing to win a ground duel.

Dan Gore

Finally, the United midfielder played 62 minutes in Rotherham United’s 0-1 defeat to Bolton Wanderers.

He completed 90% of his passes and was successful in his only long ball attempt.

Gore won his only aerial duel but only three of his seven ground duels in the centre of the park.

Alex is a huge Manchester United fan, inspired by greats of his homeland such as George Best, Harry Gregg and Norman Whiteside. Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
