United star has made his transfer decision clear in secret meeting with INEOS – report

Joshua Zirkzee was chosen by Ruben Amorim to start for Manchester United in their clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Tuesday. This despite his disastrous cameo against Newcastle and amid the incessant rumours of a January exit to AS Roma. He went on to score in the first half against the team from Molineux, and rather surprisingly, was subbed off at half-time. The head coach even went on to claim that his team were better without an extra forward, even though that was certainly not the case. Joshua Zirkzee wants to leave This is all but cemented an impending exit for the Dutchman with Centredevils revealing that the ex-Bologna ace has told INEOS of his desire to leave during a secret meeting recently. The Serie A giants had already submitted a formal proposal, and the belief was that the Red Devils were waiting for the Africa Cup of Nations to get over before sanctioning an exit. “Joshua Zirkzee is pushing for a move to AS Roma, with internal meetings even being held today to confirm his desire. “There’s a feeling from the 24-year-old’s camp that the Red Devils could give the green light soon. United should bring in a replacement before greenlighting exit “If United do allow the striker to leave, a transfer move for a forward is expected, with the club assessing multiple options.” United are stretched thin in attack at present, with Amad and Bryan Mbeumo busy with AFCON, while Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, and Kobbie Mainoo are all injured. The three-time Champions League winners were hoping to land Antoine Semenyo to replace Joshua Zirkzee, but despite late hijack plans, Manchester City seem to be winning the race. United now could go all out to land Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig as an alternative. An interesting window awaits.
