United set to confirm first summer signing as sensational starlet travels to Manchester to complete move – report

French starlet Enzo Kana-Biyik will travel to Manchester today to sign a contract and complete his prospective move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Kana-Biyik, 18, is a highly-rated striker in Ligue 1 side Le Havre’s youth team, where he has scored 9 goals in 15 games this season.

But the youngster’s contract at the Stade Oceane is set to expire this summer, despite Le Havre officials keen for the 18-year-old to sign a new deal.

This has put a number of clubs across Europe on red-alert over a potential free transfer swoop with Kana-Biyik free to negotiate with prospective suitors.

French giant Marseille had emerged as an early frontrunner for the talented youngster with Kana-Biyik even visiting the club’s facilities as they attempted to secure his signature.

However, interest from Old Trafford quickly materialised and an offer was made by the Red Devils which blew their continental rivals out of the water.

One French journalist even contended it was an offer which would “make your head spin“.

Kana-Biyik subsequently agreed to join United and become the latest addition to the club’s burgeoning selection of youngsters with INEOS having demonstrated a particular interest in acquiring the best academy talent across the globe.

And today, it appears, the 18-year-old striker will put pen to paper on the deal which brings him to Old Trafford, if only temporarily, with INEOS planning to loan Kana-Biyik to sister side FC Lausanne-Sport in the Swiss Super League.

Le Parisien reporter Benjamin Quarez reveal the 18-year-old striker will travel to Manchester today to complete the free transfer from Le Havre.

Translated Tweet: “Enzo Kana-Biyik travels to Manchester today to sign his contract with the English club.”

This will make Kana-Biyik the first piece of business for the Red Devils this summer, though the 18-year-old is evidently a purchase with the future in mind, rather than a solution to the problems of the present.
