United set to bid for €45m striker who “scored for fun” in Serie A – report

Manchester United’s search for a striker has taken them to Paris.

Last summer, United strengthened their midfield by signing Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. The Uruguayan fell down the pecking order at Parc des Princes following Luis Enrique’s arrival, as the Spaniard preferred more technically proficient midfielders.

United, however, felt Ugarte was a right fit for Erik ten Hag’s setup. Now, the Red Devils are prepared to place their trust in another out-of-favour PSG player.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani this summer.

Manchester United “going crazy” for Randal Kolo Muani

Now, Fichajes claim United are “preparing an offer” for the 26-year-old forward.

It is understood the Frenchman is not part of Enrique’s plans at PSG. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus.

Kolo Muani is coming off a promising loan spell, having notched 10 goals and three assists in 22 appearances for the Old Lady. Apart from “scoring for fun”, he also impressed fans and pundits alike with his speed, physicality, and versatility.

It is claimed United see the France international as an “ideal solution” to bolster their attack.

However, PSG are expected to play hardball in negotiations. The Champions League winners either want a permanent sale or a loan with the obligation to buy, thought to be set at around €45 million.

Manchester United’s striker search is not going well

Considering United’s situation and the options available on the market, PSG’s valuation does not appear to be too steep.

United have missed out on Liam Delap and Hugo Ekitike. Viktor Gyokeres is still waiting for Arsenal, and Victor Osimhen is on his way to Galatasaray.

In recent days, the Mancunians have also shown interest in Benjamin Sesko, who is believed to be open to moving to Old Trafford. However, RB Leipzig are expected to demand around £78m (€90m) for their talent.
