Manchester United are preparing to welcome their first signing of the Michael Carrick era, having all but wrapped up the signing of Ederson. Last week, Fabrizio Romano claimed that Ederson had undergone “unofficial” medical ahead of a move to United. However, the Italian journalist suggested that the Atalanta man still needs to undergo formal medical tests in Manchester and put pen to paper on his contract with the Red Devils. The initial plan was for Ederson to fly to England after his holidays. However, a new development in Brazil will force United to change their plans. Meanwhile, Manchester United continue to work behind the scenes to finalise the finer details of his move. According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola (via Sport Witness), Atalanta and Manchester United have scheduled a decisive meeting for Tuesday. It is understood that meeting should settle the final details of the operation. The journalist also spoke to André Cury, Ederson’s representative. Cury allegedly told him everything is already agreed in principle between the clubs. Only small details remain and those are expected to be sorted by Tuesday, allowing Ederson to become a Red Devil.
