United ready to sign 6’3 midfield beast in stunning €50m deal, he has blown away their scouts – report

In recent weeks, Manchester City have made more progress in their pursuit of Elliot Anderson than Manchester United. The technically gifted Nottingham Forest midfielder has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe. United reportedly view him as their dream midfield target ahead of the summer. However, it is believed Anderson’s transfer to Manchester City has been “effectively agreed”. Now, the Red Devils are accelerating their efforts to sign his team-mate. Manchester United keen to sign Ibrahim Sangare According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United are preparing a €50 million swoop for Ibrahim Sangare, who is “dominating the Premier League”. It is claimed United scouts have been “impressed” by Sangare’s physical strength and tactical awareness. Bayern Munich and Liverpool have also tracked the Ivorian midfielder. Meanwhile, Anderson is valued in the region of €100 million. Ibrahim Sangare more suited than Elliot Anderson to replace Casemiro Anderson, 23, is undoubtedly a more complete midfielder with immense potential. However, Sangare’s profile makes him a “direct candidate to replace Casemiro.” Despite his ageing legs, Casemiro remains United’s most reliable defensive midfielder due to his dominance in duels and positional awareness. The 6’3″ tall Sangare, who was once compared to Marcel Desailly and Claude Makelele by Dutch coach Mario Been, has had a similar influence in the middle of the park for Forest. It is Sangare’s ground coverage and physicality that allow Anderson to move higher up the field and show his on-ball qualities. United definitely need midfielders like Anderson and Adam Wharton to dictate the play at Old Trafford. Still, as far as finding Casemiro’s replacement is concerned, there are only a few better options in the market than Sangare, whose contract at Forest is due to expire in 2028.
