United ready to re-sign Mason Greenwood on this one crucial condition – report

Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, as per reports.

United have appeared toothless in front of the goal under Ruben Amorim, with all of his forwards struggling to score with any consistency. Meanwhile, the attackers United have parted ways in recent times, both on a temporary and permanent basis, are shining elsewhere.

Marcus Rashford has enjoyed an electric start at Aston Villa, Antony has rediscovered his Ajax form at Real Betis and Mason Greenwood is raising eyebrows with his exploits in France.

United sold the 23-year-old to Marseille last summer in a deal worth £26.6 million but they reportedly continue to monitor his progress.

The Englishman has scored 15 goals and registered four assists under Roberto De Zerbi, leading to interest from a number of top European clubs.

Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood lands on Bayern Munich’s radar

According to TBR Football, Bayern are interested in Greenwood and United could “stand to profit” from his move due to their sell-on clause.

The deal that saw Greenwood depart Manchester for the south of France included a 50 percent sell-on clause and also a buy-back option for United.

Interestingly, the outlet add: “The Premier League giants would only consider taking up the option to re-sign him if they felt it would be more profitable than their sell-on clause, although that does not look to be the case given the growing interest.”

The Bavarians are chasing Greenwood as there are question marks over the futures of Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, and Serge Gnabry.

They have already expressed a desire to sign him and sent their scouts to watch the 23-year-old in Marseille’s clash with St Etienne over the weekend.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report suggesting Bayern are also keeping an eye on Antony’s performances in Spain.

Meanwhile, apart from the Bundesliga giants, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Greenwood.
