United ready to go all out to sign incredible £75m star as major “upgrade” on Amorim favourite – report

Manchester United’s interest in Bournemouth talisman Antoine Semenyo has intensified in recent weeks.

United secured the services of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford after a long-drawn-out transfer saga, as the Bees repeatedly changed their valuation of the Cameroonian.

Amid this, United also showed an interest in Semenyo. However, during early conversations, the Red Devils reportedly made it clear that they would not pay more than £55m for the player.

Man United continue to follow Semenyo

On Tuesday, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Semenyo held talks with United and Tottenham Hotspur before renewing his contract at Vitality Stadium.

United are still monitoring the Ghana international, who has started the season in red-hot form, having been directly involved nine goals in seven Premier League games so far.

Considering his form, potential, and a contract that runs until 2030, his price-tag is only going to skyrocket.

It is understood Bournemouth believe their star forward is now worth north of £75m.

Man United willing to go all out to sign Semenyo

According to CaughtOffside, United are ready to pay “big money” for the Ghanaian.

A source told the outlet: “United now recognise it would be well worth paying big money for Semenyo.”

The explosive winger possesses exceptional pace and ball-carrying ability, and is capable of striking with both feet.

More importantly, Semenyo has the versatility the play across the frontline. As such, he could prove to be an excellent addition for Amorim, who offloaded a number of attackers last summer, including Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

Semenyo also has the athleticism and intensity to play as a left wing-back in Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation. Patrick Dorgu is often the most advanced man on the pitch in this system, but the youngster needs to work on his decision making in the final third.
