United reach agreement to sign incredible French starlet, could be next Kylian Mbappe – report

Le Havre wonderkid Enzo Kana-Biyik has reportedly reached an agreement to join Manchester United.

Ever since INEOS billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe assumed operational control of United in February last year, the club’s transfer strategy has shifted from signing already established players to recruiting youngsters with the potentially to become world-class if well-nurtured.

Last summer, United brought in Chido Obi (17) and Sekou Kone (18). In January, the club secured the signings of Ayden Heaven (18) and Patrick Dorgu (20) – all young players who are hungry and ready to take the next step in their careers.

Over the past few weeks, United have been strongly linked to another incredible talent, Enzo Kana-Biyik.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United were pursuing Kana Biyik, whose contract with Le Havre expires this summer.

It was stated that the Red Devils had a “good” chance of landing the incredibly talented 18-year-old striker.

Earlier today, L’Equipe [via GFFN] revealed that United were in talks to close the deal for Kana-Biyik and a positive outcome was imminent.

Now, Le Parisien report that the teenager has agreed to join Ruben Amorim’s side. He has given the green light.

“Enzo Kana-Biyik has decided to leave the Normandy club, which was still hoping to extend his contract a few days ago.”

“This Wednesday, April 23, L’Équipe announced that the son of André Kana-Biyik (80 caps with Cameroon) and brother of Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik (6 caps) is in very advanced discussions with Manchester United, which, according to our information, has already obtained the agreement of the player and his family.”

“Other clubs had positioned themselves, including Monaco and OM, who had opened the doors of the Commanderie for him to visit the training centre, but it is Manchester who will have the final say in this matter.”

Le Parisien note that United have a very clear and defined progression plan for Kana-Biyik. He will not join Ruben Amorim’s first team immediately.

The forward will spend next season out on loan at INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport, where he will gain valuable experience and first-team minutes before then sealing the switch to England.

Securing Kana-Biyik is a major coup for United, with the young talent widely regarded as one of France’s brightest prospects. Currently playing for Le Havre’s U19 team, he has impressed this season with nine goals and one assist in 15 appearances.
