United reach agreement for transfer of 25-yo, Euro giants now working on finalising Argentina star’s exit – report

Juventus’ path to signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United is far from straightforward.

United have secured two high-profile attacking additions before flying to the United States for their pre-season tour. However, the Red Devils have struggled to offload their high-earning outcasts.

So far, the club’s hierarchy have only managed to resolve Marcus Rashford’s future. The England international is set to join Barcelona on a season-long loan.

Reports in Italy have suggested Sancho is nearing a switch to Juventus. However, there are still a few obstacles.

Sancho agrees to leave Man United for Juventus

According to Corriere dello Sport, Sancho has given his “approval” to a move to Turin this summer.

Following positive meetings between the club’s management and his representatives, an agreement over a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year, has been reached. The 25-year-old will reportedly earn around €6m-a-year per season.

It is added that Juve are also willing to pay a portion of the severance pay United have agreed to pay to get him off their wage bill.

Further, the Serie A giants are prepared to offer a fixed fee of €17m plus add-ons to meet United’s demands.

Juventus working on selling Gonzalez

All parties involved are keen for the deal to happen. However, there are two factors that still need to be considered, as per the Italian newspaper.

The first issue is that Juventus must offload Nicolás González before welcoming Sancho to Allianz Stadium. The Old Lady are working on the Argentine’s departure amid interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

It is added that once Gonzalez’s future is resolved, “the final push for the Englishman will begin.”

The second hurdle has emerged due to Nottingham Forest, who have made Sancho their target “in the last few hours.”

After selling Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United, Forest are considering making a move for Sancho, who is viewed as Elanga’s possible replacement. As such, Juventus will need to act quick to get this one over the line.
