Manchester United are open to parting ways with a player who has earned a lot of praise from Ruben Amorim.
So far, United have shown great determination to offload players who are part of the “bomb squad”.
These stars have been pushed away from Ruben Amorim’s first-team plans. They have trained separately at Carrington and were not included in Amorim’s tour squad.
Manchester United struggling to sell outcasts
Marcus Rashford has been loaned out to Barcelona. However, United are finding it very difficult to get rid of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
Garnacho is waiting for Chelsea, and Antony is keen on returning to Real Betis. Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho’s wage demands are proving to be a major stumbling block, and Malacia is yet to attract serious interest from any club.
Ineos have been very aggressive in their spending on incomings. As such, United must find a way to balance the books before the window shuts.
Amid this, a report suggests the Red Devils are considering selling a star who is not part of the “bomb squad”.
Manchester United ready to listen to offers for Luke Shaw
As per Stretty News, United are willing to sell Shaw this summer if they receive an “appropriate offer.”
Shaw is considered a crucial part of Amorim’s squad despite his injury issues. The technically proficient Englishman, who mainly plays as a left-back, has been used as a wide centre-back by the Portuguese tactician during the pre-season fixtures.
In July, Amorim labelled Shaw “world-class”, hailing his ball control and dribbling ability.
The 30-year-old, who joined United from Southampton in 2014 as a teenager, has reportedly impressed Saudi Pro League clubs.
It is claimed United would consider selling Shaw if they receive an offer in the region of £17 million.
The report further adds: “This figure could be enough to convince INEOS, as it would represent a timely boost and a pure capital gain.”
The England international still has two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
