United make move to sign 100m beast who has agreed terms to seal stunning switch to Old Trafford – Sky Sports

Manchester United are “strongly” considering signing one of their long-term midfield targets this summer. United remain in the market for a midfield signing despite adding Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos to their ranks.  Specifically, the Red Devils want a midfielder capable of covering ground and outmuscling opposition players. The pursuit of such a profile has led to United reigniting their interest in last summer’s dream transfer target.  Manchester United have “made movement” for Carlos Baleba Manchester United tried to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion last summer for Ruben Amorim’s side. However, the Seagulls’ £100 million price tag proved to be prohibitive. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that United secured an agreement “on personal terms” with Baleba, and the agreement remains valid for this summer. Now, according to Sky Sports reporter Danyal Khan, Baleba and Manu Kone are “being strongly considered” by United as the club’s third midfield signing. “Club have made movement recently in revisiting a potential move for Baleba but no official club-to-club contact has been made yet,” Khan wrote on X. 🔔 Manu Kone and Carlos Baleba being strongly considered by #mufc as third midfield signing of the summer. Manu Kone willing to join Manchester United It is added that United have also “tentatively explored move” for Kone, who is expected to be available for a lower fee than Baleba.  Meanwhile, earlier today, a report in Italy revealed that United have an agreement in principle with the AS Roma midfielder over a summer move to Old Trafford. Furthermore, United are thought to be willing to “put an offer close to €50 million (£42m) on the table.” However, this “may not be enough” as the Giallorossi are pushing for more, especially as the France international is being chased by multiple suitors.
