United licking their lips over 50% sell-on clause as red-hot United star’s transfer value soars

Former Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood’s fine form has seen his value continue to rise.

In a season where none of United’s attackers have consistently performed, the former academy product’s rise is even harder to stomach.

The Englishman moved to Olympique de Marseille in the summer and has not looked back.

Greenwood has scored 15 goals and provided four assists in 24 matches in all competitions this year for les Phoceens.

He is currently the second top scorer in the division, just behind Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé.

The 23 year old continued to add to his growing reputation with another goal as he slotted home a penalty in a 5-1 victory over Saint Etienne.

He also had five shots in the match and made one key pass as he continued his fine overall displays.

His 14 league goals this season means he has scored the same number of league goals as United’s top three scorers of Amad, Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee combined.

His rise has also seen a dramatic increase in his transfer value.

Transfermarkt.com who valued him at just over £4 million before his loan move to Getafe last season, now believe he is worth £29 million.

His fantastic displays have caught the attention of numerous top clubs around Europe.

In fact, Fichajes report that Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring the forward and have made a £62 million offer for the player for a summer transfer.

United are believed to have a sell-on clause worth around 40 to 50 per cent for Greenwood, so any big money future sale would certainly benefit the cash-strapped club who are desperate to make their own signings in the next transfer window.
