United is an appealing option: Ruben Amorim has a massive opportunity to sign dream midfielder in January

Manchester United appear to be in with a chance to sign midfielder Conor Gallagher this January. This comes as the club looks to bolster its midfield options, particularly with the futures of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo thrown into doubt. While several candidates have been pushed by the media in recent times, it seems that Gallagher might be more likely to join Man United than the rest. The search for the right midfielder Among United’s midfield targets is Brighton’s Carlos Baleba. While a young and talented star, the club is not of the belief that he is worth £100 million, as Brighton would have them believe. Elliot Anderson is another Premier League player who has been heavily linked to United. While undoubtedly an exciting prospect, it seems that the field of clubs looking to sign him is getting quite crowded, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid all being linked with the Nottingham Forest midfielder. Meanwhile, Adam Wharton, another often mentioned target, is in the process of discussing a contract renewal with Crystal Palace, so a move for him appears unlikely, at least in the near term. Still, there is one player whom United seem to have a good chance of signing as soon as the January transfer window rolls around. Gallagher’s interest in United Last month, The Peoples Person relayed that United are planning to submit a bid for Gallagher. According to Fabrizio Romano, the only thing standing in the way of a deal is Atletico Madrid and their intentions. Still, it seems that the player could pressure the club into an agreement with United based on a fresh update. “Gallagher has become increasingly frustrated at Atletico. He is settled in the Spanish capital, but he firmly believes he could and should be in contention for England. That is not going to happen without playing,” journalist Graeme Bailey claimed, as relayed by GIVEMESPORT. Bailey seems to be indicating that a lack of minutes could see Gallagher miss out on making the English World Cup squad. “Gallagher is aware of the interest, and I’m told that United is an appealing option to him,” Bailey continued. “United are aware that other clubs are showing an interest, and they will have a decision to make in the coming weeks ahead of the January window.” Should United get a deal over the line, it would ensure that they receive the reinforcements they need to perform at their peak for the business end of the season. Of course, as a former Crystal Palace and Chelsea player, Gallagher is a proven Premier League signing who would surely bolster United’s chances of success.
