United in with a shout as key target banished to train with the reserves ahead of summer move – report

Manchester United are still in with a chance of securing a deal for a World Cup finalist.

Striker search

The Red Devils have been looking high and low for a striker this summer.

They have missed out on numerous top talents like Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Liam Delap.

Reports have suggested that United have made contact with Aston Villa over Ollie Watkins but it has been stated that Villa do not want to sell the forward “at any price.”

Randal Kolo Muani previous interest

Therefore, United may have to move further down their list of targets and one potential name is Randal Kolo Muani.

The Red Devils were linked with the attacker in the January window, but he eventually moved to Juventus on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

He did relatively well, scoring 10 goals, including two in the Club World cup this summer.

It has also been reported earlier this month that the Red Devils could take advantage of Juventus’ slow negotiating for the striker and move for the €45 million rated attacker.

Not wanted at PSG

What is clear is that the forward has no future at his current side, PSG.

The Mirror report, “Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani has been sent to train with Paris Saint-Germain’s youth team as Luis Enrique attempts to offload the player.”

This treatment has also been given to several other unwanted stars such as Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele and Renato Sanches.

The 26-year-old forward has already stated that he wants to join Juventus on a permanent deal but they have been so far unable to agree a deal with the European champions.

French outlet Le Parisien adds that PSG have rejected numerous loan offers for the striker as they want more of the loan paid off this year rather than next year.

They also make the point that “English clubs are also monitoring the situation, waiting for the striker market to improve in Europe.”
