United in talks with super-agent to sign insanely fast €80m “Road Runner” – report

Manchester United spent north of £200m to strengthen their attack after sanctioning flurry of exits over the summer. However, their attacking options remain thin. Bryan Mbeumo is currently the only attacker at United to have delivered consistently. Matheus Cunha has looked bright with the ball at his feet, but the Brazilian has only one goal to his name in all competitions. As such, Ruben Amorim could certainly do with more firepower up front. Man United enter race for Adeyemi According to Bild, Karim Adeyemi has emerged as a potential target for United amid question marks over his future at Borussia Dortmund. The German publication claim United have “entered the fray” as “there has been an exchange” between the Premier League giants and the German’s agent, Jorge Mendes. The super-agent represents Leny Yoro and played a key role in the Frenchman’s move to Old Trafford from Lille in 2024. Adeyemi, who joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg, has been directly involved in six goals in 14 appearances this campaign. The 23-year-old forward is known for his versatility and incredible pace. His former Dortmund coach Edin Terzic compared him to the cartoon character Road Runner due to his acceleration. Kovac and Adeyemi’s relationship has come under scrutiny However, it is understood there is some tension between current Dortmund boss Niko Kovac and Adeyemi, who has not been at his best lately. Dortmund are also struggling to renew the ex-Bayern Munich talent’s contract, which is due to expire in the summer of 2027. The Germany international reportedly wants a new contract to have a release clause. Dortmund are reluctant but could change their stance to find breakthrough. There is a suggestion of an €80m release clause.  Feature image Pau Barrena via Getty Images The Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade.
