United duo make clear decision on their futures amid worrying transfer chatter – report

Manchester United stars Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have reportedly made a decision on their respective futures at the club, amidst transfer speculation. Busy window United are set to have an extremely busy window which will in all likelihood go into full throttle after the ongoing World Cup in North America. Already, the Red Devils have wrapped up a deal with Atalanta for Ederson. A medical and official announcement is expected in the coming weeks. United have now turned their attention to other midfield targets, including West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes and Aurelien Tchouameni of Real Madrid. But the middle of the park is not the only area United are looking to strengthen. A left-back is also expected, as is a left-winger, a back-up goalkeeper and potentially a striker, if Joshua Zirkzee leaves. A return to Italy has been mooted for the Dutchman, who struggled for first-team minutes in the 2025/26 season under both Ruben Amorim and successor Michael Carrick. According to Samuel Luckhurst of The Sun, there have been rumours from abroad that United are also in the market for a right-sided full-back. However, Dalot and Mazraoui have no desire to leave United and plan to stay put. Dalot and Mazraoui calls Luckhurst writes, “Manchester United right backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have no plans to request a move this summer.” “There has been speculation from abroad that United could move for an overseas right back ahead of next season.” “But sources close to both players insist that neither is on the lookout for a transfer.” Luckhurst explains that Mazraoui is happy at United. He has featured prominently for Morocco in the World Cup, primarily at left-back, with captain Achraf Hakimi being used on the opposite flank. Dalot has been overlooked so far in games against DR Congo and Uzbekistan. Roberto Martinez has demonstrated a preference for former Manchester City man Joao Cancelo.
