United discussing unique part-ownership deal for Ten Hag signing who’s not part of Amorim’s plans – report

Manchester United are considering selling Antony to Real Betis by retaining a percentage of his rights.

United are working tirelessly to find an agreement with Brentford over the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, with the Bees demanding north of £62 million to sanction his exit.

Mbeumo’s arrival would take United’s summer spending to around £125 million and would most likely eat up most of their transfer budget.

United have been determined to offload their high-earning outcasts, but so far, they have had little luck in their pursuit.

According to The Telegraph, United face the prospect of “paying players millions” to part ways, with buying clubs “ready to exploit the need to offload players” this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony have all been made available for sale.

At this point, Antony appears to be the most likely to depart as Real Betis have shown a great desire to keep him in Seville after a prolific loan stint.

However, the Spanish outfit have so far suggested they don’t have the financial might to meet United’s demands for a permanent transfer.

It is understood Los Verdiblancos covered 84 per cent of his salary during his half a season-long loan spell in Spain.

As per The Telegraph, United have been talking to the La Liga side about “owning some of his registration rights, which is effectively a sell-on clause” if the Brazilian is sold at a later date.

Antony is believed to be keen on staying at Betis and is prepared to take a pay cut to exit Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old was signed by Erik ten Hag from Ajax in a deal worth £82m in 2022 and still has two years left to run on his contract at United.
