United chasing 19-yo Greek striking sensation ripping apart the Bundesliga 2 – report

Manchester United are keeping tabs on 19 year old striker Stefanos Tzimas.

The Red Devils are constantly on the lookout for young talent as Ineos have prioritised the signing of impressive teenagers playing domestically and abroad.

United brought in exciting teenagers Leny Yoro, Chido Obi and Sekou Kone to the team among others last summer.

Ruben Amorim’s side have continued this trend as they are about to officially announce the signing of 17 year old Paraguayan left back Diego Leon.

Reports from Tuttomercato suggest that the 20 time league champions may just have another young star in their view.

Greek teen Tzimas left PAOK Thessaloniki on loan to move to Nuremberg where he has left insiders “crazy” about his potential.

“Nuremberg would gladly buy him back at the end of the season, even if the figure set last summer is very high: 18 million euros plus 15% on the future resale. But the German club does not have the funds to do so at this point.”

Interest in the player extends well beyond Germany however as “in the Premier League today there is a queue of clubs that have asked for information: from Brighton to Aston Villa, passing through Fulham, Arsenal and Manchester United.”

“But Tzimas is also tempting in Italy” with Juventus and Inter Milan both paying close attention to his development.

The striker has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 15 games this season in the second division in Germany and the cup.

He has been described as “one of the hottest prospects in Greek football”.

Tzimas is also blessed with “considerable pace” and “dynamic movements” to punish defenders which makes him a “potent weapon” in the attacking third.
