The summer transfer window is entering a crucial stage with less than two weeks until the major European league seasons begin. Harry Kane has failed to return to Tottenham after his holiday in an attempt to force through a move to Manchester City. With Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish set to join City for £100m, will Kane follow?
Manchester United have made two key early deals: Jadon Sancho has arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £73million, while Raphael Varane just needs to complete his medical, which is likely to be on Monday. Paul Pogba could be on the move though, but could delay his decision beyond this summer. PSG want him, while Mino Raiola has reportedly offered Pogba to Liverpool… cheeky. Should Pogba leave United, then Saul Niguez is a reported target – but Liverpool are also said to be interested.
Chelsea want Haaland or Romelu Lukaku to lead their attack, with Sevilla’s Jules Kounde their preference for a defender. As for Liverpool, Manuel Locatelli, Youri Tielemans and Nicolo Barella are all targets with Jordan Henderson’s future unclear, while Trent Alexander-Arnold has signed a new four-year deal at Anfield.
