Wolves backtrack on Adama Traoré sale Tottenham looked all but set to secure the services of Wolves’ Spanish international winger Adama Traoré this summer, but the Molineux outfit has now put it in reverse when it comes to the deal.

As reported by The Telegraph, Wolves have taken Traoré out of the shop window, and are adamant that they intend to move forward with him under new boss Bruno Lage in 2021-22, with the La Masia graduate having looked superb in the early days of the new managerial regime.

A recent bid from Tottenham of a £5 million loan fee was outright rejected by the club, though transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has stated that negotiations between the two clubs are not off the table, albeit whilst complicated.

Tottenham in pole position for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie Another American international could be heading to London this summer, joining Christian Pulisic in the English capital with Tottenham reported to be in pole position for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

The FC Dallas youth academy graduate stood out after a breakout period at Schalke, which netted him a move to Turin last summer, and resulted in the 22-year-old turning heads at the J Stadium under former boss Andrea Pirlo. But he has since been deemed a player that new headmaster Massimiliano Allegri is not too keen on, with Juventus opening to parting ways with the US international.

Tottenham is leading the pack after McKennie reportedly turned down advances from both West Ham and Aston Villa, but Juve is adamant that they are only interested in selling the player rather than considering a loan agreement. With both Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele surplus to requirements in north London, a deal for McKennie would add to a solid central core under new boss Nuno Espírito Santo, that includes Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp, and Giovani Lo Celso.

Watford open talks for Moussa Sissoko Out of favor French international Moussa Sissoko could finally have found a new port of call this summer, with promoted outfit Watford opening talks to bring him to Vicarage Road before the conclusion of the transfer window.

Sissoko has long been linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but it was earlier assumed that the Hornets would not be a realistic destination after the club brought in Turkish international Ozan Tufan. On the back of this transfer, Sissoko was linked with a potential move to Fenerbahce as a direct replacement for Tufan, who is on a season-long loan, but now Xisco may be in a position to rely on both as he looks to continue to strengthen at Watford, and acquire the requisite depth to compete in the top flight of English football.
