Three of the world’s richest clubs chasing struggling United star, Amorim will be licking his lips – report

Manchester United fans would prefer Andre Onana to be sold this summer given his high-profile errors last season.

He was culpable for conceding avoidable goals in both the Premier League and Europa League, with Ruben Amorim livid with the mistakes.

The head coach would prefer an alternative this window, but despite INEOS’ best attempts, no concrete offers have arrived.

AS Monaco were linked with a move, but the United No.1’s wage demands and United’s asking price meant they stayed away.

Onana on SPL trio’s radar

NEOM SC were linked with a move, but the Cameroon international did not want to join the newly-promoted side, who switched their attention to OGC Nice’s Marcin Bulka.

As per Stretty, three of the wealthiest Saudi Pro League sides — Al-Qadsiyah, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Hilal all keen on Andre Onana.

Should either of the clubs submit a bid of £30 million, United would be willing to sell but Amorim will not push him out.

“Manchester United are open to selling Andre Onana this summer, as three suitors emerge from the Saudi Pro League. According to sources, Man Utd would be willing to sell Onana for £30 million.

“Sources can confirm that the former Ajax man isn’t anywhere near the exit door. However, he is a popular figure among the Saudi Pro League clubs, with three of them enquiring about his services already.

“The ambitious Al-Qadsiyah has emerged as his keenest admirer, as they have major plans to reinforce their squad this season and cement themselves as genuine challengers on the Saudi and Asian scene.

Amorim prepared to keep Onana

“Moreover, Al-Ittihad are keeping tabs on the situation, while Al-Hilal have also enquired about the player’s availability.”

As relayed by The Peoples Person, Amorim is prepared to give the 29-year-old a chance to try and atone for his errors last season.

Whether that proves to be the right decision, only time will tell. While fans would love a replacement, in all likelihood, Onana seems to be staying at Old Trafford unless a substantial offer arrives.

The Red Devils have plans to sign a replacement for Altay Bayindir, but so far, moving the Turkish ace on has proven to be a problem.
