“The mindset is …“: Teenage goalscoring marvel fires statement after completing “historic” move to United

French wonderkid Enzo Kana-Biyik has revealed his delight and pride at finalising a move to Manchester United.

United confirm the signing of Kana-Biyik

Earlier on Thursday, United announced the arrival of Kana-Biyik for Le Havre. He drew attention to himself after scoring an impressive nine goals in 18 appearances for the side’s U19s last season.

Kana-Biyik’s exploits earned him a place in two of Le Havre’s senior matchday squads.

The Paris-born footballer was on the radar of a host of European teams, including reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, but United warded off stiff competition to secure his signature.

United confirmed that the 18-year-old will spend the 2025/26 campaign out on loan at INEOS-owned Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.

It was felt that this was the best move to aid in his development, as he is likely to be guaranteed first-team football with the Super League club.

Kana-Biyik fires message after completing United transfer

Reacting to his switch to Old Trafford, Kana-Biyik wrote on Instagram, “I am very happy and proud to announce the signing of my first professional contract at Manchester United.”

“Thank you to this historic club for trusting me and I hope that I can leave my mark there.”

“It’s a new chapter of my life that is starting, new goals to achieve but the mindset is the same.”

He continued, “A big thank you to all the people who contributed to my development, my coaches, my teammates, and my family.”

“May all the Glory return to God because without him nothing of everything I could have done would be possible.”

Kana-Biyik becomes the newest signing under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ renewed approach of bringing in young players who can be nurtured into future stars.
