Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has, on Saturday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of both Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard.
Reds rampant Solskjaer and co. are of course currently ramping up their preparations for the fast-approaching new season.
The Red Devils, before today, had endured an altogether mixed patch of form in pre-season, securing a win, a draw and a defeat versus Derby, Brentford and QPR respectively.
In turn, those of a United persuasion were no doubt keen to see their side kick things up a gear this afternoon, in a meeting with Everton.
And, when all was said and done at Old Trafford, this is precisely what the Manchester giants managed.
A dominant display, which saw all of Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and the returning Diogo Dalot find the net, ultimately saw the hosts emerge on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline.

Lingard latest An otherwise positive afternoon’s work for Solskjaer’s men, however, was soured ever so slightly by news of a positive Covid-19 case in the club’s squad.
Ahead of the action getting underway in Manchester, confirmation was forthcoming that Jesse Lingard – fresh off the back of a scintillating loan spell with West Ham – would play no part versus Everton, after testing positive for the virus.
In turn, speaking on the back of the action coming to a close on Saturday, it came as little surprise when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was drawn on his returning midfielder’s wellbeing. This comes with United set to get their campaign proper underway in a meeting with Leeds United next weekend.
And, encouragingly, the Reds boss went on to confirm that Lingard, as things stand, is feeling ‘okay’.
An update was also forthcoming on Dean Henderson, who has yet to return to action following his own recent bout of Covid-19:
OGS on Lingard/Henderson COVID issues: “Jesse feels OK. Hopefully stay that way. Have to isolate. Dean is negative in testing but not as energised and sharp. Still fatigued. Got a few days to rest and then we will check up on him.”
