Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City won the Premier League at a canter last season and with some new recruits are tipped to retain their crown in the coming campaign
Varane deal ‘a sign of Man Utd’s aims’
A Premier League supercomputer has predicted what the table may look like on the final day of the coming season – and it’s good news for current champions Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s Citizens won the league at a canter last season and with the likes of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish – two players they are linked with this summer – are tipped to retain their crown in the coming campaign.
The forecast comes via bettingexpert.com’s supercomputer, an algorithm that has analysed informative betting markets.
The supercomputer has also predicted that Thomas Tuchel’s Champions League winners Chelsea will likely just miss out on winning the title with a second-place finish next campaign.
And that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side – the 2019/2020 title champions – will claim third place.

At the other end of the table, the supercomputer has tipped the three promoted sides to all drop back down in the Championship.
Norwich may have won the Championship last season, but the algorithm claims they’re most likely to finish rock bottom with Watford finishing just about them in 19th.
Brentford, who came up via the play-offs, are tipped to finish 18th in their very first season in the Premier League.
Should the Premier League table finish as this supercomputer has predicted then it will be a very disappointing season for Man United, who have title aspirations.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under increasing pressure to win silverware this campaign after receiving huge backing from the board financially this summer window.
Ray Parlour recently said of the pressure Solskjaer is under to talkSPORT: “Most Manchester United fans will be very excited about Varane coming in.

“They’ve always looked for someone alongside Harry Maguire going forward. If they can get someone of his experience, 79 caps for France, he’s been there done it, he’s played in big, big games. World Cup winner. So I think that’s an excellent signing.
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer surely can’t complain that he hasn’t been backed. Signing Sancho and now you’ve got Varane coming into the club. There’s a little more pressure on you as a manager but it certainly puts them in good stead.”
