Tottenham Hotspur’s supporters have flooded to social media this evening, to plead with Nuno Espirito Santo over his use of Tanguy Ndombele.
Højbjerg clinches a point Nuno and co. were back in action a short time ago.
The Lilywhites made the trip to northwest France, for their maiden Europa Conference League outing, versus Stade Rennais.
Spurs headed into proceedings in search of something of a bounce-back performance, having been put to the sword in altogether concerning fashion at Crystal Palace last time out.

When all was said and done at Roazhon Park, though, the visitors were forced to settle for a share of the spoils, on the back of a 2-2 stalemate.
A thoroughly entertaining affair saw the visitors open the scoring inside a quarter of an hour, when Lucas Moura’s attempted pull-back across the face of goal was directed home by the unfortunate Loic Bade.
Rennes, though, soon worked their way back into proceedings, before deservedly levelling things up courtesy of Flavien Tate:

The clash was then turned on its head twenty minutes from time, when Gaetan Laborde put the Ligue 1 outfit in front, only for Tottenham to pull level minutes later through substitute Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
And this was how things ended on the night, as Spurs’ Conference League adventure got off to a solid if unspectacular start.
Ndombele plea On the back of their first stalemate of the campaign, Tottenham’s attentions will now turn swiftly towards an altogether more daunting task this weekend.
The capital outfit are set to return to domestic action in a Premier League derby showdown with Chelsea on Sunday evening, with Nuno and co. no doubt desperate to spring a shock on the European champions courtesy of a return to winning ways.
And, as outlined above, ahead of the Blues clash, the Lilywhites faithful have this evening taken to social media in their numbers, to dish out some advice to the club’s boss.
The pointer in question comes in the form of a not-so-subtle plea for Tanguy Ndombele to be handed his first league start of the campaign in three days’ time.
Ndombele, an outcast over the early weeks of the season, has come back into the frame of late, culminating in his introduction from the off versus Rennes.
And those of a Spurs persuasion, evidently, were left altogether impressed by the club’s enigmatic midfield talent:
If Ndombele doesn’t start against Chelsea than it’s hopeless.
It already is hopeless, but at least it will be less hopeless.
