Sources deny exit talks for struggling United star despite raging transfer rumours – report

Manchester United have reportedly made a decision on Rasmus Hojlund amidst ongoing speculation over his future at the club.

Arguably no player has embodied United’s struggles this season more than Hojlund. He has endured a poor campaign, struggling to regularly come up with the goods in front of goal.

The under-pressure striker recently broke a 21-game goal drought, bringing his season tally to just three in 24 Premier League appearances – an extremely disappointing return for someone relied upon to lead the line for United.

With United expected to be in the market for a new talisman this summer, there have been suggestions that an exit for Hojlund is on the cards.

A report covered by The Peoples Person claimed that Napoli is a possible destination for the Dane. Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is also believed to be an admirer of the United attacker.

However, according to UtdDistrict, United have no desire to offload Hojlund when the window commences.

“Sources have informed UtdDistrict that United have no current intention of letting the 22-year-old leave this summer.”

“UtdDistrict can confirm that there are no talks within the club surrounding unhappiness or animosity towards Højlund, with United’s staff focused on returning the player to his best form.”

Hojlund recently spoke to reporters while on international duty and explained that he is currently focused on getting back to good form under Ruben Amorim.

The former Atalanta man explained that he is very happy at United and is enjoying working with Amorim.

The United No. 9 will certainly be hoping that he can embark on a run once club football returns. United are back in action on April 1 when they go away to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest.

United are languishing in 13th place in the league with 47 points gained from a possible 87.
