Say Sigvaldi Björn and his teammates in Kielce may have played for the Portuguese national team tonight, but a number of Porto players are in the Portuguese national team that attracted a lot of attention at the World Cup in handball which took place in Egypt in January.
Kielce started the game with a lot of power and were five goals over in the half, the score then 19 – . The visitors from Portugal bit off in the second half and managed to reduce the difference to one goal towards the end of the game but Kielce held out and landed an important victory, final numbers 32 – 30.
Sigvaldi Björn scored two goals for Kielce and Alex Dujshebaev was the top scorer in the home team with ten goals.
With the victory, Kielce goes to the top of the group with tonight’s victory. The team now has 14 points after nine games, like Flensburg.
