Rúnar's seven goals were not enough on a night that was not an Icelandic night

Ribe-Esbjerg lost by five goals, 34 – 29, when the team met Skanderborg in the Danish Premier League in handball in evening.

Skanderborg led in the half 16 – 15 but were stronger at Ribe’s home field in the second half and finally won a comfortable victory.

Rúnar Kárason scored seven goals for Ribe from his twelve shots. He was Ribe’s top scorer. He also gave four assists.

Gunnar Steinn Jónsson scored four goals and gave up three assists but Daníel Þór Ingason did not score from his only shot in the game.

Ribe is in eleventh place in the division with fifteen points but the top eight teams go to the finals.

Elín Jóna Þorsteinsdóttir and teammates in Vendsyssel got a bang 37 – 26 when the team met København Håndbold.

Elín Jóna saved five balls and had 25% goalkeeping in Vendsyssel’s goal, which is at the bottom of the division with three points. Steinunn Hansdóttir scored one goal.
