Alejandro Garnacho is set to receive some special attention from Ruud van Nistelrooy at Manchester United, it’s exactly what he needs.
Last season saw Alejandro Garnacho take another big step in his development, going from squad rotation player to undroppable for Erik ten Hag.
He rounded his season out perfectly by scoring Manchester United’s opening goal in the FA Cup final. He also tasted international glory with Argentina, lifting the Copa America.
However, for all of his strengths, there are still some weak points in his game which need to be resolved for him to become a true league-leading talent.
Now, it has been reported that Ruud van Nistelrooy has been tasked with helping the 20-year-old winger to reach that next level.

How Manchester United want Ruud van Nistelrooy to improve Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho is a sensation, and we expect that this coming season he will improve once again – which should be a scary thought for defenders.
But according to GiveMeSport, United see Van Nistelrooy as the man who will help him make those improvements and unlock the Argentine winger.
It has been explained that the new Dutch coach and United icon has been tasked with taking Garnacho’s game to the next level – his decision-making and efficiency in the final third have been tipped as areas the club expect to see an impact.
Coaches at United are keen to extract Garnacho’s maximum potential, as he is seen as key to the chances of winning silverware during the upcoming season.
This is an exciting prospect and if Garnacho can solve his decision-making in the final third, he could soon become unstoppable.
We will not have to wait long either with Garnacho returning to Carrington on Friday as his season preparations begin.

Garnacho has room to improve in the final third
For anyone who has watched Garnacho on a week-to-week basis, it’s clear he lacks slightly in the decision-making department and it has often cost him dearly.
The talented forward would often find himself in promising positions before squandering through making the wrong decision or rushing and missing a one-on-one which he would score nine times out of 10.
These weaknesses are areas in which Garnacho can improve and with Van Nistelrooy, he is very well placed to do so.
Seven goals and four assists in 36 Premier League appearances last season shows his talent, but now it’s time he took it up a notch and should be aiming for close to 20 goal contributions in the league.
It will be exciting to see how Garnacho develops this coming season – with a few minor adjustments we could have a world-beater.
