Manchester United still have work to do before Friday’s transfer deadline and there could be a deal with Chelsea in the pipeline.
Erik ten Hag couldn’t make it two wins from two as Manchester United were beaten 2-1 at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
The initial excitement after beating Fulham has been dulled after a frankly ridiculous winning goal on the South Coast.
Joao Pedro had the freedom of the Amex Stadium to head home a late winner and consign United to defeat.
The attention now turns back to the transfer window and United have work to do with the deadline fast approaching.

United are now set to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli and that will spark the arrival of a new midfielder at Old Trafford.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Manuel Ugarte is now ready to travel and sign for United after weeks of speculation.
A permanent deal for the Uruguayan is in the pipeline with United ready to reinvest cash from McTominay’s exit.
There could be more movement though as Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims that winger Jadon Sancho is attracting interest.
Juventus remain keen on Sancho but Sheth claims that Chelsea are interested in a potential swap deal.
Sheth didn’t mention any potential names but Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling are on offer.
Reports last week suggested that United had been offered the chance to sign Chilwell amid ongoing issues at left back.
Both he and Sterling have been told that they have no future at Stamford Bridge and are now being offered up to United for Sancho.
Just where Sancho fits into a side who already have Mykhailo Mudryk, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson is anybody’s guess, but United won’t care about that.

Sancho exit on the cards
Sancho infamously clashed with Ten Hag almost a year ago and was banished from the United first-team picture.
After a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho was reintegrated into the United squad this summer.
Yet having been left out of the squad to face Fulham and Brighton, Sancho’s future at United still looks a little bleak.
A move to Chelsea would be the dream for Sancho, who admitted to TalkSPORT in 2021 that he was a Blues fan growing up.
“I’d probably say Frank Lampard,” Sancho said to name his England hero. “I was a Chelsea fan growing up, I can’t lie! Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard were my favourite players at the time.
“I just love Frank Lampard and how he played his game; he was so direct and so composed on the ball. I like things like that,” he added.
Sancho would no doubt jump at a move to Stamford Bridge but whether United would be interested in Chilwell and Sterling – two players who have struggled for top form in recent times – remains to be seen.
