Manchester United receive an approach for Mason Greenwood

It’s always been likely that interest arrived for Mason Greenwood in the summer considering how impressive he’s been for Getafe this season.

Eight goals and five assists in all competitions have led Greenwood to attract Catalan giants Barcelona.

Now it’s been reported by Spanish outlet, Sport, that Barcelona have moved their interest beyond just admiration and have made their approach for Greenwood ahead of this summer.

The report adds that Barcelona are hoping for a cut-price deal, given the situation regarding Greenwood and the fact it’s unlikely United will want to keep him, despite Sir Jim saying no decision has been made.

The decision has already been made though if other reports are to be believed.

Mason Greenwood won’t be heading on tour this summer

According to the Daily Star, Greenwood will not be taking part in this summer’s pre-season tour.

The report explains that the 22-year-old is expected to be left out, with a sale elsewhere expected and wanted by United.

With this in mind, it would make sense if Barcelona were to have already made their approach for the forward.

Since moving to Spain, Greenwood has captured a rich vein of form and stands out regularly as Getafe’s starman.
