Jean-Claude Blanc’s imminent arrival at Manchester United could pave the way for Jadon Sancho to depart the club, according to reports.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on the verge of acquiring a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United and as a result, the club are looking for a new CEO.
The search for a new CEO is due to Richard Arnold leaving the club at the end of the calendar year, Jean-Claude Blanc has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The Frenchman, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, may well be the key to getting Jadon Sancho out of United in January.
According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport, Blanc, who was vital to getting Juventus back to near the top of Serie A following the troubles they went through, could make it easier for the Italian side to sign the 23-year-old winger.
Sancho’s future at Old Trafford looks to be heading only one way with Erik ten Hag banishing the winger from his first-team squad following the public fallout with the pair back in September.
Now, a move away from Old Trafford looks to be the most likely scenario for the Borussia Dortmund winger with a move either to the Serie A side or a move to the Saudi Pro League on the cards.
MORE UNITED STORIES
The report goes on to say, however, that Sancho’s wages may well be prohibitive if they did try and pursue a deal for the Englishman and that he is ‘not one of Juventus’ priorities’.
