Red-hot PL forward admits he loves Old Trafford “with all my heart”, INEOS in talks over sensational swoop

Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr has opened up on his future at Selhurst Park amid interest from Manchester United. Wing Wizard Sarr, 28, enjoyed an outstanding campaign for Crystal Palace last season as he helped propel the club to the first European trophy in their 121-year history. The Eagles triumphed over La Liga side Rayo Vallecano in the final of the Europa Conference League, after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s volley secured a 1-0 win. Sarr scored nine goals en route to the showpiece event in Leipzig, winning the Player of the Tournament as a result. But this excellent run of form was not limited to contests on the continent, with the Senegal international notching another nine goals in the Premier League, one more than the year before. In all competitions, Sarr scored 20 times in total, becoming the first Palace player since Glenn Murray in 2013 to hit that figure. His fine run of form continued into the World Cup, where the Saint-Louis native struck four in four with Senegal as the Lions reached the last 32. Capable of playing on either flank or being deployed through the middle, it is easy to see why Manchester United have identified Sarr as a target. He is a Premier League-proven operator with a potent pairing of speed and size, and a nose for goal. Sarr responds to speculation Manchester United are understood to have made an enquiry over Sarr’s availability this summer, having expressed interest earlier in the year. While not considered a “top priority”, the 28-year-old is “among the profiles being considered by Manchester United’s recruitment team,” a report relayed by The Peoples Person reveals. If United did launch a move, however, it would be music to Sarr’s ears as he has considered Old Trafford a “dream” destination since he was a child. “My dream clubs? Honestly, there’s only one. I love Manchester United with all my heart, and I’m a huge fan of it,” he has previously said. But when asked by Senegalese news outlet APS (as relayed by Sport Witness) about interest from the Red Devils, Sarr was far more diplomatic: “I have a three-year contract with Crystal Palace; it’s up to them to decide. Football is my profession, and I enjoy playing it.” Final Thoughts The leading candidate to replace Marcus Rashford is understood to be West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville. However, a deal is proving difficult for the 24-year-old Dutchman as the Hammers are refusing to budge on their £50 million valuation. This is further complicated by AS Roma having stormed into the race, with the Italian giant having already tabled three offers. If Manchester United are forced to miss out on another top target, their interest in Sarr may soon be accelerated, potentially leading the Crystal Palace winger to complete a childhood dream by arriving at the Theatre of Dreams.
