Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed what has surprised him about the Premier League. The English top-flight is widely regarded as the best league in the world for many obvious reasons. Rangnick may have been at Manchester United for less than two months, but he has already been surprised by how tactical every team is in the league. The German boss admitted that the technicality and physicality in the so-called average teams have left he surprised a ‘little’. Rangnick has faced the likes of Crystal Palace, Norwich, Newcastle United, Burnley, Wolves, and Aston Villa so far as United’s interim boss. As a result, he has known what’s like to come up against these lower teams and believes it’s never an easy clash against them. “I wouldn’t say it has surprised me,” Rangnick told MUTV when asked about his experience so far in the Premier League. Ralf Rangnick admits Premier League is about physicality and technicality “No winter break is what I expected — what surprised me a little is how physically and tactically astute the smaller teams in this league are. Against the bottom teams, it is never easy.” Manchester United will lock horns with Villa on Saturday and Rangnick, who is expecting yet another tough game against Steven Gerard’s men, will look to get his underperforming players to impress the fans.
